Alwyn Humphreys accepts the post of Principal Guest Conductor with the Chamber Orchestra of Wales.
Dr Alwyn Humphreys MBE commented - “I am delighted to accept this position. I have had the pleasure of working with the Orchestra on a number of television programmes as well as at the National Eisteddfod of Wales. I particularly enjoy conducting and introducing our ongoing series of popular “Candlelight Concerts” at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall and our recent performances in Festivals at Carmarthen, Margam, Dinas Powis and Lampeter were very satisfying. It is always an exciting experience to work with such fine musicians. I am very proud of the close relationship that I have with the Chamber Orchestra of Wales which I now look forward to developing further.”

5th December to 14th January - Musical Director of the pantomime "Aladdin" at the Grand Theatre, Swansea.
9th - Concert with Wynne Evans, Shan Cothi and Mark Evans at the Grand Theatre, Swansea.
16th - Handel's Messiah at St. Peter's Church, Carmarthen with Cor Y Rhyd.
17th - Handel's Messiah with the Swansea Philharmonic Choir at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea. Soprano :- Laurie Ashworth

22nd - "Christmas by Candlelight" with the Chamber Orchestra of Wales Chorale at Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon. Conductor Alwyn Humphreys and soloist Ros Evans.
25th - 8.30pm Prime time viewing slot on S4c on Xmas night is a concert with the Chamber Orchestra of Wales conducted by Alwyn Humphreys with Shan Cothi and Wynne Evans recorded at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in Wrexham - August 2011.
28th - Repeat broadcast of concert shown on the 25th.
